SF Studios signs exclusive international film and TV sales deal with REinvent Studios

REinvent Studios, headed by sales veterans Rikke Ennis and Helene Aurø, will now expand its sales relationship with SF Studios to rep their full feature film slate and catalogue titles. The partnership will continue both companies’ ambition to distribute more Nordic content internationally demonstrating the strength of Nordic talent and IPs.

The deal will give REinvent Studios access to pre-sales titles such as The Emigrants directed by Erik Poppe, produced by SF Studios, The Pact directed by Bille August, co-produced by Motor Productions and SF Studios, Margrete – Queen of the North, directed by Charlotte Sieling, produced by SF Studios and Omerta 6/12 and Omerta 7/12 directed by Antti Jokinen, produced by Cinematic.

In addition to these titles, REinvent Studios will be selling SF Studios’ outstanding children features like Pelle No Tail, Jerry Maya’s Detective Agency and Twigson and the Sea Monster, and a steady flow of high end Nordic films like The Good Traitor directed by Christina Rosendahl and Coming Home for Christmas directed by Ella Lemhagen, along with an extensive back catalogue that includes films by Ingmar Bergman and Astrid Lindgren.

REinvent Studios is representing SF Studios titles at the ongoing Gothenburg International Film Festival and will then take them to this year’s Berlinale.

“This deal is a very important step in SF Studios’ long-term strategy to be the leading distribution company not only in the Nordic market but also internationally,” says Elsa Berg Bjärtun, EVP Distribution at SF Studios. “The combination of REinvent Studios with a progressive approach to the international market together with SF Studios’ slate of the best Nordic films will manifest the strength of Nordic content globally.”

“A firm partnership with SF Studios fits perfectly into REinvent Studios’ strategy of being a significant player. This will make it possible to offer the international marketplace the strongest Nordic stories both for TV and feature films. Looking at the pipeline of SF Studios, one cannot help but be impressed by the acclaimed talent behind it, but also the magnificent potential both locally and internationally. We can’t wait to continue this strong partnership together with the great team at SF Studios,” says Rikke Ennis, CEO at REinvent Studios.
