SF Studios, the leading distribution and production company in the Nordics, has signed a new distribution deal with Paramount Pictures to manage the studio’s physical (Blu-ray and DVD) home entertainment products in the Nordic market - Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. The new deal, which covers both films and television series, will be effective from July 1, 2021.

Among the titles included in the agreement are new Paramount theatrical releases such as A Quiet Place: Part II, along with recent hits like Rocketman and Sonic The Hedgehog, franchises including Transformers, Indiana Jones, and Mission: Impossible, beloved classics like The Godfather trilogy and Forrest Gump, and globally popular television series such as NCIS, PAW Patrol, and Star Trek.

SF Studios has for many years been a leading distributor in the Nordic home entertainment market and this new agreement reflects SF Studios’ and Paramount’s continued support of physical media.

“We are very happy and proud to have entered into this new agreement with Paramount,” said Michael Porseryd, CEO at SF Studios. “The entertainment landscape and consumer behavior are constantly shifting, but one factor remains consistent: audiences’ appetite for content. We are thrilled to be able to share their expansive library with consumers in the Nordics and look forward to working with Paramount in releasing their exciting slate.”

“We are delighted to be working with SF Studios, which has exceptional distribution experience and a long history of success,” said Bob Buchi, President of Worldwide Home Entertainment, Paramount Pictures. “Fans continue to enjoy watching and collecting their favorite films and television shows on disc and we look forward to delivering our world-class content under this new agreement.”

David Elliott, senior vice president, Home Media International for Paramount, will continue to oversee the studio’s licensee sales and distribution in the Nordics and internationally.
